Summer Concert – ‘Gloriana’

The beautiful canal-side setting of St Cyr’s will host the Thames Head Singers’ summer concert, celebrating music from around Britain in the year of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The programme includes Britten’s Choral Dances from Gloriana with modern classics from Lennon & McCartney and Lloyd Webber plus a wonderful medley of James Bond themes (full programme below).

Just announced – we will be joined by Soprano, Megan Strachan who will be singing two arias for us on Sunday.  Megan has just finished her final year on the MMUS Programme in Vocal Studies at Trinity Laban in London and has also trained with the Lyric Opera studio in Weimar. She is currently singing with the Cardiff Opera and will be starring as ‘Fiordiligi’ in their production of  Mozart’s ‘Cosi Fan Tutti’ later this month.

Tea and cake will be served during the interval, with proceeds to St. Cyr’s Church.
